Welcome to the 2018 Catholic Services Appeal. It is an exciting time in the Archdiocese of Louisville as our parishes are alive with the Holy Spirit! Each day we are blessed with opportunities to deepen our faith and to share our gifts with others. Through our efforts to promote the call to holiness and serve the spiritual and human needs of those in our communities, the Archdiocese of Louisville proudly serves 24 counties of the Archdiocese of Louisville.

In April 2018, Pope Francis released his apostolic exhortation, Rejoice and Be Glad. In it, our Holy Father calls us to reflect on the holiness found in our daily lives through acts of love and compassion. The ministries supported by the Catholic Services Appeal provide vivid examples of this every day holiness. The Appeal supports programs that care for those who are poor and vulnerable, instills lifelong faith formation and learning, promotes vocations, assists retired priests, enhances worship, and supports parishes and schools.

Pope Francis calls us to be the saints next door when he states, “Very often it is a holiness found in our next door neighbors, those who, living in our midst, reflect God’s presence.” There are many ways we can become saints next door, and I invite you to respond to this call by making a gift to the Catholic Services Appeal. Together we will Bring Christ to Others.
