Parish Choir and Choristers

PARISH CHOIR:

The Parish Choir is a welcoming and vibrant ensemble that plays an integral role in the musical life of our parish. Open to all singers high school age and older, the choir invites both seasoned and aspiring vocalists to join in a shared mission of musical excellence and worship.

Rehearsals:
Wednesday evenings, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Liturgical Schedule:
The Parish Choir sings most Sundays at the 10:00 AM Mass, with warm-ups beginning at 9:15 AM. The choir also sings on select Holy Days from September through Corpus Christi. In addition to these regular liturgies, the choir also participates in special liturgical events and seasonal concerts throughout the year. On occasion, they are joined by the Choristers, the parish’s youth ensemble of singers in grades 4-8.

Repertoire:
The Parish Choir performs a broad range of sacred music, including:

  • Traditional hymnody

  • Choral works spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary composers

  • Gregorian chant, reflecting the rich liturgical heritage of the Church

Joining the Choir:
No formal audition is required to join the Parish Choir. If you are interested in singing with us, please contact our Director of Music, Allen Blehl, at ablehl@hspirit.org or (502) 893-3982.

We are always looking for new members who have a passion for music and a desire to participate in the liturgical life of the parish. Whether you are a seasoned singer or new to choral singing, we invite you to join us.
